Story About US

The El Dorado Hotel means Place of Gold. It is easy reachable from the N4. The first building when entering from Vryburg, in secure surroundings. It is the ideal place for businessmen and weary travelers alike.

It opened its doors in November 1976, with 20 double rooms and the public areas. As demand grew, 3 more wings were added over the years ending with 76 rooms.

After years with the same owners, we bought the Hotel in August 2007, with a whole new plan for the Hotel, but decided to continue until December 2007. Luckily, we enjoyed it so much that we decided to go for it to the full extent. We made a lot of changes, renovated the kitchen, changed the dining room, add an A la Carte Restaurant, changed the bar, and provided 3 new conference rooms and that is only the beginning…

Ideal for informal or social functions adjacent to the pool. The lapa has a nice tarpaulin cover for more privacy and to keep the cold out.

We have implemented a number of measures to reduce our environmental impact, so please help us to conserve Africa’s most precious resource.
1. Solar Power
We have installed a Solar Geyser system for hot water in our rooms. Please assist us by using hot water sparingly in order for everyone to have a HOT shower or bath.

2. Power Outages
The standby generator ensure a seamless execution of all conference proceedings.

3.Inverter Air conditioners
Our air conditioners have inverters installed to use less power.
